[Ouch! I waited too long to post this, and it appears that the deadline has already passed] Passionate Ink has announced their 2026 Passionate Plume story contest. Multiple categories, 40$ entry fee (25$ for members). That organization looks cool and interesting (I might join sometime). Here’s an interesting discussion by Sylvia Day about erotica vs. erotic romance vs. porn vs. sexy romance. I am actually in the middle of creating my own genre categories for my Lusty Bibliophile annual index; I approach the subject completely differently. I definitely approve of a contest for erotic fiction (even with those entry fees). It’s a great way to learn about new authors and new kinds of fiction in genres adjacent to erotica.
